Mechanical conveying and metering system
Belt conveyor system
Working principle
The belt conveyor consists of two end rollers and a closed conveyor belt tightly fitted onto them. the drum that drives the conveyor belt is called drive drum (transmission drum); the drum that changes the movement direction is called reversing drum. The driving drum is driven by an electric motor through a reducer and the conveyor belt is dragged by the frictional between driving drum and conveyor belt. The driving drum is installed at the discharge end to increase traction and facilitate dragging. The material is fed into the feeding end then falls onto the rotating conveyor belt and discharge from the unloading end of the transport bag by the friction of the conveyor belt . its move according to the principle of friction transmission and has the advantages of large conveying capacity and long conveying distance, smooth conveying, no relative movement between materials and conveyor belt, low noise, simple structure, easy maintenance, low energy consumption and standardized components. There are various structural forms including groove belt conveyor, flat belt conveyor, climbing belt conveyor, inclined belt conveyor, turning belt conveyor and so on.
Application
Transportation and production lines of mining, metallurgy, wood, casting, building materials, electric power and other industries,
transport loose materials or finished goods on production departments of hydropower station construction sites and ports
System consists of the following components
Conveyor belt, idler, roller, roller backstop, driving device, brake, tensioning device, direction change, loading, unloading, cleaning and other devices, PLC control system etc.
